An award winning social entrepreneur chasing a vision of ‘putting a book in every hand’. I founded my social enterprise Daastan and raised roughly 50,000 USD through grant capital to scale and sustain the company. Our core business is book publishing and we have enabled 10,000+ global authors to publish 500+ books in 34 genres and 02 languages.

Nowadays, I am working with Institute of Emerging Careers as Partnerships and Placement Manager where I mentor the students on how to start their professional lives, build their portfolios, establish companies and present themselves to potential employers. Our vision is to train 10,000 young people on Web 4.0 technologies and place them in top notch IT companies all across the world.

I have been a part of Pakistan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem since 2014 and I started documenting my learning with NearPeer in the form of asynchronous video lectures to train the next generation of entrepreneurs. The course titled 'How to be an entrepreneur in Pakistan?' is a culmination of the learnings from Plan9, Telenor Velocity, NIC Islamabad, Accountability Lab and Spring Board Plus Accelerator by Youth Co:Lab - a project of UNDP.

Previously, I have worked with KPIT Board as lead trainer where I developed and delivered the course on blogging and content writing to train 3000 women in KP and then 900 youth of newly merged districts. I also led the research and content development for the Punjab Police’s online course titled Police Awam Saath Saath for citizens to learn about their rights. Apart from this I worked as a research associate where I compiled a report on EdTech industry of Pakistan.

I am the first and the only Pakistani ever to receive the Media Information Literacy (MIL) Award by UNESCO 2021. I also received Commonwealth Youth Award 2021 and my work has been showcased by UNDP.

My global experience includes competing at regional finals at Hanoi, Vietnam, showcasing as Top 20 social enterprises of South Asia at Asia Pacific Youth Forum 2019, Guangzhou, China and then in International Youth Innovation Conference 2019 Shenzhen, China where I qualified for semi-finals. I was also runners up at Asia Pacific Youth Exchange Thailand 2019.

I love working with cause-based visionaries who dare to be different, who take the challenges head-on and find creative ways to build solutions which benefit the community at large. I wholeheartedly support artists and literary causes. The world knows me as a literary enthusiast who fell in love with entrepreneurship and then never looked back!
