I am a native speaker of Turkish, a graduate of the English Language and Literature department, and currently, a Master's student in the field of English Philology. In order to produce a fine piece of translation, one must harbour the profundities of language and culture of the target language, the reason for which is that I believe, one of the requisites for the artistry of translation is the ability to localize the piece one works on.

When it comes to my experience in translation, I may proudly say that I have participated in various translation projects in which I have not only directly translated the subject but also adapted them to the Turkish or English culture. I have participated in voluntary projects, video game translation, journal, and article translations. In my translations, I predominantly try to use gender-neutral nouns and pronouns (As long as the opposite is not asked or the content of the text is suitable for such option), avoid anachronistic terms, and double-check the terms that I learn during the process of translation.
