? Perform administrative and technical reviews of Treatment Authorization Request (TAR’s) for Mental Health and Substance Abuse services submitted by providers for State and Medicaid services based on the requirements set forth by the State of NC. ? Responded to telephone and email request from providers to investigate errors or omissions, and to maintain ongoing dialogue and consultation with providers and clinicians who are impacted by the request. ? Check patients insurance and address information and update data base as needed. ? Schedule patients return appointments. ? Contact insurance companies to determine benefits, plan exclusion, and claim processing requirements. ? Communicate benefits to originator, clients and patients within an established time frame.
