I am a former judge and a freelancer, from Turkey. I am a native Turkish speaker. Firstly, being able to recognize and flag idiomatic translation issue is related to be familiar with the culture of the source language. I have been in the U.S. with my family for one year. Therefore, I know a lot about the culture, language and things that cannot be found in the books. Secondly, I am 42 years old and have worked as a judge in Turkey for 17 years. It means that I am a master all the subtleties of the Turkish. That is, I am very good at language skills, such as grammar and idiomatic language. Because, I have written more than 10.000 pages in my decisions. On the other hand, proofreading is a part of a judge’s job. Because, when a decision is issued, clerks write first draft after that judges proofread and make corrections. Lastly, watching movies and TV series is my hobby. I am very good at PC and MS Word.
