Desktop Eng covers creation of windows image, Application repackaging, App and security patch deployments from SCCM(Microsoft tool) or any other deployment tools, Win 10 upgrade, SCCM upgrades, vulnerability patch management, content distribution and network bandwidth management and many more third party application ,plugin , reporting, Virtual and cloud space management etc.It not about L2,L3,L4 supports job for 40,000 or 50,000 end user client but its high level research on your idea and provided a tested solutions to your clients because your solution going to hit on 50,000 end users computing . You need to be very careful once you are delivering the solution for this bunch of clint because your one mistake will hit entire organization very badly and you cannot revert it in one day.You have to be on top to your latest technology and good understating of good skills.
