Python/Django full-stack Development

$10/hr Starting at $250

I first came across the Python programming language in 2016. Since then, I have written many applications (some also with a graphic user interface Tkinter). Among others, I  wrote a program for automatic image analysis, for data processing in various forms:  .json, .csv, .xlm, .npy. I use python Pandas for columnar data structures, edit, process and display data in various ways, including animations (Matplotlib). In short, I have excellent 5 year experience in Python (object-oriented) programming, based on formal education as chemical engineer and PhD from material science. Thus, I have experience with scientific computing (finite element method for non-linear heat-transfer problems and material microstructure evolution using cellular automata approach, mainly using Numpy library). With this I developed a  model for heat transfer in 3D laser printing of metals.

I wrote desktop application that can, based on a multitude of experimental data, predict what alloy type will be formed at a given chemical composition. The application includes both machine learning (Scikit-learn) and multivariate analysis, whereas additional module enables complex correlation analysis with the formation of composed parameters from a set of basic ones. I have basic knowledge of neural networks and block-chain principle.

I expressed my enthusiasm for data and analytics in the creation of a hobby website (Django), located at: http://andrazkocjan.pythonanywhere.com/bicikelj , where its essential part was the collection of data on the occupancy of stations of Ljubljana's public cycling network BicikeLJ. The data were collected every 2 min in an SQL database on the server and displaying them on a time scale, e.g. for last 2 days. I plan to create a model (stations correlation and machine learning) to predict how many bicycles would there be at a given station at the given moment in the future. Now, I am learning advanced web scraping (data mining) tools, using knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery, Jinja,..), Python (Beautiful Soup) and Django.

Also, I have some basic knowledge of C++, C#/.NET and Fortran 95.
