Responsibilities 

  • Listening and interpreting audio recordings and tapes 

  • Translating the recorded audio hearings into text documents 

  • Reviewing the transcribed draft to check for accuracy and consistency 

  • Identifying and rectifying any inconsistencies and errors 

  • Submitting the transcriptions for review 

  • Adhering to the industry practices and confidentiality guidelines at all times 

  • Considering any formatting or notation requests from clients 

  • Completing and submitting all transcriptions on time 

  • Correcting any errors in the transcriptions after obtaining feedback from clients 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field 

  • Proven work experience as a Transcriber, Speech Writer, or a similar role in the Marketing industry 

  • Complete knowledge of the industry rules, regulations, and confidentiality guidelines 

  • Familiarity with transcription tools and software such as OTranscribe, Express Scribe, and The FTW Transcriber 

  • Excellent listening and interpreting skills 

  • Good time management and organizational skills 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools 

  • Excellent command over language 

  • Impressive writing skills 

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Highly reliable and motivated individual 

  • Having an eye for detail 

  • Good typing and reading skills 

  • Ability to manage strict deadlines 

  • Ability to offer excellent customer service
