In a cartoon world, anything is possible!
I am a freelance cartoonist and character animator based in London.
As a cartoonist, I have drawn for newspapers, magazines, greetings cards, books, games and created logos/mascots and much more. I draw (and write) regular strips for the adult comic "Viz", including one-off strips and two returning strips ("Ignatius Manatee's Dixieland Jazz Band" and "Abel Unstable") I have a weekly half-page topical joke in "The Jewish News" and a weekly full-page strip called "Tribe Scribe" in "Daf Hashavua" magazine.
As a character animator I have worked on all manner of projects for companies in the UK and abroad including TV show pilots, music videos, promotional sequences, explainer videos, eCards, Messenger content (winks, dynamic display pictures), emoticons/smileys and more. My animation work has appeared on TV and the web.
Following the popularity of my animated eCards, in 2011 I signed a deal with the major US eCard company, www.123greetings.com, to produce cards for them. I currently have around 100 cards on the site with total sends in the millions (including the popular "Beak Boys Birthday" and "Baggins' Birthday Blues" cards). I also create ecards for 123kort.dk in Denmark.
When required, I have also provided narration, voice characterization and music for my animations.
As well as working freelance, I teach Cartooning to adults and children. For over 10 years I ran courses at The Institute in London. I currently run weekly after-school cartooning workshops for Komplete Genius. I have given talks on the subject at various exhibitions and corporate training days.
I am a member of the Cartoonists’ Club of Great Britain.
