Funds in SafePay can be released using a “Release Funds” request.
Either party can request to release funds and determine the amount to be released for both parties. However, funds are released only when both parties agree to the release request.
To release funds from SafePay
- Select the job under the “Manage” section.
- Select the appropriate Freelancer to enter the WorkRoom.
- Go to the “SafePay” tab and click on “Release Funds.”
- Enter the amount you want to release to either yourself and/or to the Freelancer.
- Check the box agreeing to the terms of the release.
- Click “Release Funds.”
Note:
- If funds are being released only to the Freelancer, the release will be done instantly.
- If any amount has to be released to the person initiating the request, the release will happen only upon mutual agreement.
- If in case the other party does not respond within 7 days, funds in SafePay will be released as per the release request submitted by you.
- Any funds that are not released will remain in SafePay.
To edit a Release Request
- Select the job title under the “Manage” section.
- Select the appropriate Freelancer to enter WorkRoom.
- Go to the “SafePay” tab and click on “Edit.”
- Enter the updated amount.
- Check the box agreeing to the terms of the release.
- Click “Edit Release Request.”
If you and your Employer cannot agree on how the funds should be distributed, either party can request for Arbitration, as long as funds are available in SafePay.
