Scope of Work for 3D Modeling and Technical Drawings in Fusion 360

Project Overview:This project requires a 3D model design and detailed technical drawings for a backup cooling system intended to provide cooling in the event of a power failure. The system functions as a gas cooling device, where gas is drawn into a cooling chamber, cooled, and then returned to the process. A fan is used to draw the gas into the chamber, where it circulates in the space between an inner and outer tank. This project will be based on conceptual 2D drawings, and the selected designer will need to refine and develop the sketches into a precise 3D model and detailed part drawings.

Deliverables:

  1. 3D Model in Fusion 360

    • Complete 3D model of the cooling system, refined from provided 2D conceptual drawings.
    • Delivered in Fusion 360’s native file format to allow for future modifications.
  2. 3D Model in STL Format

    • An STL file of the model for prototyping or further digital manufacturing.
  3. Detailed 3D Views and Sectional PDFs

    • At least six PDF views of the 3D model, with various sections cut to illustrate internal structure and key components.
  4. 2D Technical Drawings of Each Part

    • Create part drawings for each of the six major components, refined from initial sketches:
      1. Inner Drum
      2. Outer Drum
      3. Duct, Damper, and Fan Module
      4. Ice Cells
      5. Cooling Coil
      6. Stand
    • Each part drawing should include front, side, and top views.
    • Provide these part drawings in DWG (AutoCAD) 2D format and PDF format.

Specific Requirements:

  • The designer will be expected to interpret and refine sketches and conceptual drawings into a fully realized model.
  • Ensure dimensional accuracy and adherence to the conceptual design’s proportions and features.
  • Incorporate space for airflow and cooling operations as per the gas cooling system description provided.
  • A fan-driven intake mechanism should be included as part of the duct and fan module.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Fusion 360 for 3D modeling.
  • Experience with creating 2D technical drawings in DWG and PDF formats.
  • Ability to interpret and develop designs based on conceptual and preliminary sketches.
  • Attention to detail for creating precise mechanical parts suitable for manufacturing or prototyping.

Additional Requirements:

  • Selected designer must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before beginning work, as this project involves proprietary information.
  • Regular progress updates and opportunities for feedback on the 3D model and drawings.
