We are looking to hire a composer to score an approximately 45 minute composition that will play across 7 galleries in a museum that is focused on history. The score will serve as both the gallery score and also as a score for large-scale media installations that will be playing in each of the galleries. Because the 7 galleries have large openings between them, we are looking for one cohesive, approximately 45 min, score that will work across all 7 galleries and their corresponding large scale media installations. However, we are looking to differentiate the score b/w the galleries by isolating instruments within the score for each gallery. The composition needs to be minimal. We are not going for movie trailer. We are going for background and ethereal. The schedule is b/w May 1 and August 1. We have placeholder/library music in place for about half of the galleries and their corresponding mediascapes.
