About the Company:
Spike Energy supplies energy to commercial and industrial customers all around Texas. One of our subsidiaries also supplies Point of Sale Equipment and other financial services. This is a perfect entry-level position for candidates wanting to get a start in the energy and payment processing industries. This position requires a lot of problem solving and technical analysis.
Availability Requirements:
40+ hours / week during Office Hours
Office hours: 10:00am - 7:00pm CST
Job Description:
The Candidate hired in this position will be working within a team to manage and support Spike Energy and its subsidiary's backend operations. This typically compromises a series of job responsibilities, of which some are listed below:
-Various accounting / bookkeeping related work
-Answering incoming / making out-going customer-service calls
-Interfacing (virtually via email / on the telephone) and negotiating (virtually via email / on the telephone) with suppliers, vendors and customers on a regular basis
-Filing, record keeping, ordering supplies
-Tidying up and maintaining an efficiently functioning office environment
-Preparing documents (spreadsheets, word docs, presentations, etc..)
-Faxing and emailing documents
-Sending, receiving and organizing mail
-Maintaining a work journal as well as a time log
-Working within a socially-distanced team environment to problem solve, conduct research, and give presentations (online)
-Attending team meetings and trainings (when it's safe).
-Various technology related functions such as downloading and installing equipment, building data files, and troubleshooting technology issues with clients and vendors
-Some travel may be required (very rare).
Educational requirements:
-Candidates must have an associate degree or higher
OR
-Candidates must currently be enrolled in college pursuing a degree
