Job Description:
I am seeking an experienced paralegal to assist with an interlocutory appeal, legal filings, and case organization related to wrongful termination, whistleblower retaliation, and fraudulent medical evidence. This case involves complex legal arguments, including exceptions to the exhaustion rule, irreparable harm, and systemic corruption within municipal government.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft & Format Court Filings Assist in structuring and formatting an interlocutory appeal for submission to the appellate court.
• Legal Research & Case Law Analysis – Research relevant statutes, case law, and precedents supporting wrongful termination and whistleblower retaliation claims.
• Supplemental Filing Preparation – If allowed, help draft a Supplemental Memorandum to strengthen legal arguments.
Document Review & Organization – Assist in organizing and indexing evidence, including fraudulent medical records and whistleblower documentation.
Strategic Guidance Provide insight on legal avenues to pursue claims against:
The City of Boston for wrongful termination, whistleblower retaliation, and procedural violations.
The Department Doctor for submitting forged medical release forms and fabricating evidence.
• Administrative & Procedural Support – Ensure all filings comply with appellate court rules and deadlines.
Qualifications:
Paralegal certification or relevant legal experience (5+ years preferred).
Experience with appellate litigation, employment law, and whistleblower protections is highly desirable.
Strong legal research and writing skills with experience drafting court filings.
Familiarity with civil service laws, labor law, and retaliation claims is a plus.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage complex case materials.
Additional Details:
This is a contract-based role, with potential for ongoing work depending on case developments.
Remote work possible, but preference for candidates in Massachusetts familiar with local court procedures.
