Looking for a pro to help me link an Autocad dwg with an SQL database in a more automatic way. I have a manual system right now via dataextraction/attin. I export the attributes in xls, import in SQL, apply whatever changes via queries, export text files from SQL, then attin back into CAD. I'm tired of it after 20 years. You must know AutoCAD, speak fluent English, and have previous experience with an app such as https://jtbworld.com/acad-db. If you reply please upload a DWG with a block that resembles say a CCTV camera with a field of view and a couple attributes so I know we're on the same page. Too many tire kickers reply with completely unrelated weird stuff. YOU MUST HAVE DONE THIS BEFORE, I'm not paying you to learn on my money.
What You Need:
- AutoCAD Expertise – Knowledge of blocks, attributes, dynamic blocks, and automation scripting. I provide you the DWG files.
- MS SQL Database Skills – Ability to directly link AutoCAD attributes with SQL tables. I have the database, must be SQL as it is part on an app.
- Automation Knowledge – Experience with JTB ACAD-DB, scripts, or similar automation methods. I gave you the link above as I've tried this guy's solution like 20 years ago. I've lost patience since then.
- Fluent English Communication – I need someone who understands exactly what I'm asking because they've done it before. Don't call me if you haven't done this shit before please.
- Proof of Experience – A DWG file with a block (e.g., a CCTV camera with attributes like FOV, location, or ID).
