We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented CPA Bookkeeper with Forensic experience to manage our QuickBooks Online files across all financial workflows. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in QuickBooks Online, and experience with various financial processes and reporting. The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to work independently to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
Responsibilities:
- QuickBooks Online Management: Comprehensive management of all aspects of our QuickBooks Online accounts.
- Bank and Credit Card Reconciliation: Timely and accurate reconciliation of bank and credit card statements.
- Month-End Close and Financial Reporting: Execution of month-end close procedures, preparation of financial statements for client distribution and review.
- Invoice Distribution: Assisting with the timely distribution of invoices to customers.
- Monthly Reporting: Generating or assisting with ad-hoc and recurring monthly report requests.
- Payables Processing: Entering and processing pre-approved payables with adherence to proper security and controls. Familiarity with third-party bill payment applications (e.g., Bill.com, Ramp.com, or similar) is highly desirable.
- Book Cleanup: Providing assistance with cleaning up accounting books from previous years.
- Process Control and Integrity: Implementing and maintaining control and integrity within accounting processes and workflows.
- Chart of Accounts Management: Ensuring the chart of accounts strategically reflects the financial information needed for effective business management.
- Cash Flow Projections & Forecasting: Developing and issuing cash flow projections and forecasts.
- Budgeting and Planning: Assisting in the annual budgeting and planning process, tracking actual performance against budget, and analyzing variances.
- Custom Reporting: Meeting custom reporting needs as required.
- Financial Review & Analysis: Conducting financial reviews and providing insightful analysis.
- Strategic Profit Planning & Execution: Contributing to strategic profit planning and execution initiatives.
- Budgeting Analysis & Creation: Analyzing budget performance and assisting in the creation of budgets.
- Liaison with Tax Experts: Facilitating communication and providing necessary information to tax experts.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant.
- Extensive experience and proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices.
- Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Experience with month-end close processes and financial statement preparation.
- Familiarity with third-party bill payment applications (e.g., Bill.com, Ramp.com).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Experience with cash flow forecasting and budgeting.
