About the PositionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on analyzing, creating, and optimizing SQL queries across various database systems such as SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Oracle, PostgreSQL, and others. This role requires deep technical expertise, as the work involves complex data challenges, ensuring data integrity, and supporting advanced data-driven decision-making.

SQL Query Development and Optimization
Analyze, create, and optimize complex SQL queries across multiple database platforms including SSMS, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and more.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all queries and databases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address their data needs through effective SQL query design.
Data Engineering
Develop, implement, and maintain ETL processes to prepare and transform data for analysis.
Design and optimize data models, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
Work with large and complex datasets, performing data cleansing, transformation, and manipulation to support business requirements.
Database Management
Manage, monitor, and integrate data from various databases, ensuring optimal performance.
Collaborate with database administrators to fine-tune database configurations and enhance query performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database performance, data extraction, and data integrity.
Data Visualization (Good to Have)
While the primary focus is on data engineering, proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or others is a plus.
Ability to create basic dashboards and reports to visualize data insights, though this is not the primary responsibility.
Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions.
Document processes, methodologies, and best practices for SQL development and data engineering.
Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and training initiatives to elevate team expertise.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role with a strong focus on SQL query development.
Proven experience in managing and optimizing databases like SSMS, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and others.
Hands-on experience with ETL processes and data modeling.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R.
Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Understanding of data warehousing concepts and tools.
