Hello,

I have an Excel list with multiple companies (Column A = Company Name). I need your help to gather detailed information about these companies and enter it into the appropriate columns of the Excel file. Please follow these steps:

  1. Northdata Search:

    • Search for the company from the Excel list (Column A) on https://www.northdata.de.
    • Take a screenshot of the information about this company and insert it into the Excel file.
    • If Northdata doesn’t show relevant information or only lists private individuals as owners, proceed to step 2.
  2. Company Register Search:

    • Search for the company on https://www.unternehmensregister.de.
    • Go to the annual financial statement (as shown in the provided example image).
    • Click on “DK, Document View”.
    • Download the shareholder list (latest version).
  3. Analyze the Shareholder List and Enter Data into Column Y:

    • Review the shareholder list and record the following in Column Y:
      • If the company is owned by one or two individuals, enter a “1” in Column Y.
      • If the company is owned by three to five individuals, enter a “2” in Column Y.
      • If the company is owned by more than five individuals, enter a “3” in Column Y.
    • If the majority owner is a company (e.g., GmbH, AG, UG, etc.), go back to Northdata or directly to the company register and analyze this company according to the steps mentioned above. Write in Column AD(comments) that this company is the majority owner and note all relevant information about this other company.
  4. Owner's Private Address:

    • If the shareholders are private individuals, identify the person with the largest voting share and find their private address (not the company’s address).
    • If you find the private address through the registration document in the company register, enter it into the following columns:
      • Column AF: Street and house number
      • Column AG: Postal code
      • Column AH: City
      • Column AI: Country
    • Important: Use only the latest list. If the registration document is from, e.g., 2015 and includes an address, do not use that address. Instead, write in Columns AF-AI: “Address before 2017” or something similar.
  5. Compare Owner Data:

    • Compare the owner data found in the shareholder list or registration document with the entries in Columns S, T, U, and V of the Excel file.
    • If the person in the shareholder list or registration document differs from the entries in Columns S to V, correct the names accordingly in those columns.
  6. If No Shareholder List or Registration Document is Available:

    • Go back to Northdata and search for the company again.
    • If another company is listed that holds shares in the original company, analyze this other company.
    • Insert all relevant information about this other company into Column AD of the Excel file.
  7. Email Address of the Owner/CEO:

    • Before searching for the email address of the CEO, check the imprint of the company website (found in Column W) to see if the identified person (CEO/Managing Director) is listed there.
    • If the person is listed in the imprint, search for their email address (not the general company email) and enter it into Column AJ of the Excel file.
  8. Inserting Documents:

    • Please insert all downloaded documents (shareholder list, registration document) as a photo or screenshot into Columns A-D of the Excel file so that I can review the documents later.

Thank you!
