Job Title: Seeking Data Science & Quantitative Developer Mentor (Beginner to Advanced)
Description:
I am looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Data Scientist and Quant Developer who can mentor me from basic to advanced levels. My goal is to build a strong foundation in data science, programming, and quantitative analysis, eventually reaching a professional level suitable for real-world applications and industry standards.
What I’m Looking For:
One-on-one mentorship (online sessions)
Someone who can teach step-by-step from scratch, at a comfortable pace
Guidance on project-based learning and real-world applications
Help with understanding core concepts and advanced techniques
Mentorship in tools, languages, and technologies such as:
Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib, etc.)
SQL
Machine Learning (Supervised, Unsupervised, Deep Learning basics)
Statistics and Probability
Quantitative Finance (if applicable: backtesting, algorithmic trading, etc.)
Git, Jupyter, APIs, and deployment tools (optional but a plus)
Ideal Mentor Profile:
Experienced professional in Data Science / Quantitative Finance / Algorithmic Trading
Prior experience in mentoring or teaching
Clear communication skills and patience
Ability to create structured learning plans
Bonus: Experience working at hedge funds, fintech companies, or research labs
Commitment:
Flexible hours (to be discussed)
Long-term mentorship preferred
