The API is the U. S. Energy Information Administration
If you are not familiar with the API for the EIA please do not bid.
Because you must know the API, I will not answer questions about how you access the API. We use V2 of the API only. No additional libraries can be used to access the EIA. It must be direct API calls to return the data. All API calls must be echoed in the result to they can be recreated.
I want a script - php/python to generate a list or routes/datasets in a specified route AND display the date/values for one of the datasets returned. We must get the symbol or be able to build the EIA symbol from the route/facet/frequency.
The symbol will be needed to request one dataset from the result.
For testing use the route electricity/state-electricity-profiles/emissions-by-state-by-fuel
The dataset list MUST be CSV/TSV listed with the symbol, product, facet and frequency .
We need the EIA Symbols so I can request the data from the API.
If you bid, include a sample of the output from the EIA ( without the URL) that shows the symbol so I can see you are familiar with the API and capable of doing this work.
The output must show
a). URL
b). In there are routes In the selected folder show [ROUTE] where ROUTE is the route name.
c). For datasets, show the EIS symbol, name/description , facet, frequency
d). Build a request and get/display the request and time series data for the first dataset returned in the request.
The result must work for any route specified.
The final result will be a simple web page that lets us input an API key and route and then lists the routes/datasets in it PLUS the price data for one dataset from the result.
You must host the web page until project is completed.
