We are a US-based importer of Indian food and subject to regulation by the US FDA. Our products are imported pre-packaged by factories in India and ready for distribution to retail outlets.
We need an expert in food safety in India who has excellent knowledge and has work experience with any international food safety standard like ISO22000, BRC, etc. This role will be to ensure all of our documentation is accurate, create and review HACCP plans, determine appropriate verification activities, etc.
You will also be coordinating with all of our suppliers across India to ensure that our manufacturers are compliant and producing clean, safe, food.
This job can start hourly and can also easily be converted into a full-time position. Additionally, this will be the start of an India-based food safety team for us, perhaps with a company employee permanently, full-time, stationed at some of our key factories. So, there is the opportunity to create, hire, and manage a full-fledged food safety team.
