Job Description: Freelance Full-Stack Developer for Social Media App Development
Overview:
We are seeking a talented freelance Full-Stack Developer to join our team and help build and enhance a cutting-edge social media platform. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both front-end and back-end development, with a strong focus on delivering seamless user experiences, integrating key features, and ensuring the app's performance and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Feature Development:
Collaborate with design and product teams to implement new features such as live photo integration, location tagging, video editing tools, and live streaming. Ensure that all features align with the overall vision and user needs.
- Full-Stack Development:
Handle both front-end and back-end development, working with modern web technologies and frameworks such as React, Vue.js, Node.js, Python, and Ruby. Develop APIs, integrate third-party services, and manage database structures to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Performance Optimization:
Monitor and optimize the app’s performance to ensure fast load times, smooth interactions, and scalability. Work to minimize latency and enhance the platform’s responsiveness on all devices.
- Quality Assurance & Testing
Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables. Ensure that all features function correctly, are bug-free, and meet established quality standards.
- User Experience:
Collaborate with the design team to improve the user interface, ensuring it is intuitive, user-friendly, and visually appealing. Make adjustments based on user feedback to enhance the overall experience.
- Collaboration & Communication;
Maintain open and proactive communication with the internal team, providing updates on progress, identifying potential challenges, and sharing solutions. Work independently but also collaborate to ensure the project meets deadlines and quality expectations.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in full-stack development with a strong portfolio of projects that demonstrate proficiency in both front-end and back-end technologies.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Strong back-end development skills using technologies like Node.js, Express, Ruby on Rails, or similar.
- Experience with database management (SQL and NoSQL), data storage, and APIs.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Strong understanding of integrating third-party services, including APIs, geolocation, and music platforms.
- Experience in implementing user authentication, security, and performance optimization for scalable applications.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly, ensuring smooth functionality of key features.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with media processing (video and photo tools) and integrating media-based features into social platforms.
- Familiarity with live streaming technologies and their implementation in mobile/web applications.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Firebase, etc.) and deploying web or mobile applications.
- Knowledge of mobile app development (iOS/Android) is a plus.
