ABOUT US: The Empowerment Network is a social change agency for school reform and global leadership (incorporation status in progress). Using a unique approach with student leaders (ages 10-25), the Network provides district level training, educational programming, and family advocacy services.
ABOUT OUR NEED FOR A GRANT WRITER: The Empowerment Network needs a grant writer for its Executive Office. The Executive Office is the heart of our innovation because it is where we give under-resourced youth true, executive level training and experience. Funds are needed to provide program leadership and oversight for the Executive Office as well as to provide stipends for youth participation.
ABOUT THE GRANT WRITER WE ARE SEEKING: The selected grant writer will have experience writing successful grant applications; will have experience working in a start-up environment; and will have experience working with marginalized communities (especially relating to race, income and neurodiversity).
There are two grant proposals that are due in April. As a result, we are seeking two grant writers that we hope will support us with future grant opportunities as they become available.
