We are in the early stages of product development and are seeking a skilled Freelance Mechanical Engineer to bring technical expertise and innovative problem-solving to our team.
Role Summary:
We require a freelance Mechanical Engineer to collaborate closely with our non-technical founder, helping to transform conceptual ideas into a viable product design. This role involves thorough research, design brainstorming, and development of detailed written documentation along with 2D and 3D designs of the prototype.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a non-technical team member to refine product concepts and ensure technical feasibility.
- Conduct comprehensive component and material research necessary for product development.
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D designs of the product prototype.
- Provide clear, detailed written explanations of design concepts and the development process.
- Ensure design solutions comply with regulatory standards and are practical for manufacturing.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Biomechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience in mechanical design, particularly in medical devices involving IoT sensors and MPU's and BLE
- Proficiency in rendering software for 2D and 3D modeling.
- Strong ability to communicate complex technical details in an accessible manner.
- Independent work ethic with a commitment to deadlines.
