About the Project: We are seeking skilled freelance medical illustrators to create high-quality, anatomically accurate illustrations for a comprehensive Temporal Bone Dissection Guide. The illustrations will support advanced surgical education and must convey complex anatomical details clearly and precisely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed, anatomically correct medical illustrations depicting various structures and surgical steps of the temporal bone, including landmarks, dissections, and procedural techniques.
- Collaborate with the author(s) to ensure illustrations align with textual descriptions and learning objectives.
- Utilize professional drawing tools like Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, or equivalent software for clean, scalable illustrations suitable for print and digital formats.
- Incorporate feedback and revisions to meet the highest standards of scientific accuracy and visual clarity.
- Deliver illustrations within agreed-upon deadlines and specifications.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in medical illustration, particularly in otologic or surgical anatomy.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, or similar vector-based illustration tools.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, especially head and neck structures.
- Ability to communicate complex surgical procedures visually.
- Familiarity with medical or academic publishing standards is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification or degree in Medical Illustration or Biomedical Visualization.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling software for creating dynamic visuals (optional but a bonus).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
