I'm not sure specifically what I need to set up, but let me explain the goal. I would like to set up some sort of Remote Desktop or VPN or something at my house. With that, I want to allow other people to be able to connect to this system, and use a computer to access the internet and perform various tasks. The idea would be that when they are online, it looks like it is coming from the same IP address as my house, even though they are physically located in different places.
I am willing to spend whatever is needed in hardware and/or software - I want this set up to be the best it could be. I want it to be fast, and not have much lag for the end user. I'm just not sure what the best set up is. What I am looking for is for someone to assist me with this setup. Help me determine what I need to buy, and how to set everything up.
