We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to standardize and optimize network traffic across multiple locations. Our infrastructure consists of Ubuntu servers, OpenVPN site-to-site connections, and Cisco-based gateway devices. The ideal candidate will have expertise in configuring and troubleshooting site-to-site VPNs, persistent routing, and Linux-based networking.
Project Scope:
Network Standardization: Ensure consistent routing and connectivity across all locations, each with a 192.168.2xx.0/24 IP range. 8 locations total.
Gateway Setup: Each location has a Cisco-based gateway with IP 192.168.2xx.1 and an Ubuntu server VM (192.168.2xx.2) running OpenVPN client.
VPN Configuration: Establish two separate OpenVPN site-to-site connections to AWS-based VPN Access Servers.
Persistent Routing: Configure all routes to remain functional after reboots, ensuring seamless communication between all locations.
Network Accessibility: Any device in any location must be able to reach devices in all other locations.
Ubuntu Administration: All networking configurations will be done on Ubuntu servers.
Required Skills & Experience:
Strong understanding of OpenVPN and site-to-site VPNs.
Proficiency in Ubuntu networking (iptables, Netplan, persistent routing).
Experience with AWS VPN Access Server.
Familiarity with Cisco IOS (limited version) for configuring gateways.
Expertise in routing, NAT, and subnetting.
Ability to troubleshoot and document networking configurations.
