Colorado Home Realty is seeking a Quality Assurance Tester to join our technology team. This role will start as a full-time position for the first month to help us accelerate critical testing initiatives, including the creation of test cases, documentation, and structured QA processes. After the initial month, this position will transition into a long-term part-time contract role, supporting our team on an ongoing basis as we enhance and evolve our internal systems and agent tools.
This is a remote contract position, with full-time hours (40 hours per week) during the first month, then transitioning to part-time (approximately 15-20 hours per week).
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Perform manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing of web applications, ensuring features meet requirements and function correctly across devices and browsers.
- Document test cases, test results, defects, and issues clearly and consistently.
- Work with the development team to triage, prioritize, and retest bugs, ensuring timely resolution.
- Contribute to improving QA processes, helping establish a QA framework for future releases.
- Communicate regularly with team members to ensure alignment and visibility into testing progress.
- After the initial full-time period, provide ongoing part-time QA support for new feature releases, bug fixes, and system improvements.
Required Experience & Skills
- 3-5 years of experience as a QA Tester or similar role.
- Experience writing and executing manual test cases for web applications.
- Strong understanding of functional, regression, and exploratory testing techniques.
- Familiarity with Laravel-based applications or similar web platforms is a plus.
- Experience working with project management tools like Trello, Jira, or Asana to track test progress and issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
- Strong documentation skills — clear, concise writing for test cases and defect reports.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills in a remote team environment.
- Experience working in an agile development process with sprint cycles is preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Experience testing real estate software, CRM platforms, or data-heavy applications.
- Experience collaborating directly with developers and designers to clarify requirements and expectations.
- Familiarity with basic SQL queries to validate data directly in the database is a plus.
- Bonus: Familiarity with basic automated testing tools (though this is primarily a manual QA role).
Work Arrangement
- Remote contract position.
- Initial full-time onboarding period (40 hours/week for 1 month) to get familiar with the product, write test cases, and work closely with the team.
- After 1 month, transition to part-time (approximately 15-20 hours per week) for ongoing feature testing and QA support.
Compensation
- Competitive hourly rate (based on experience) — please indicate your desired hourly rate when applying.
- Weekly payments during both full-time and part-time periods.
