We are looking for an experienced Smart TV App Developer to convert our HTML5, CSS3, WebGL, and Pixi.js-based UI into a fully functional Smart TV application. The app is already designed and developed in HTML5 but needs to be packaged for Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, and Android TV platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Convert our existing HTML5-based TV UI into native Smart TV apps.
- Package the app for Samsung Tizen OS, LG webOS, and Android TV using the appropriate SDKs.
- Ensure smooth remote navigation (D-pad controls) and optimize performance for Smart TVs.
- Integrate with RESTful APIs for content streaming.
- Test the app on emulators and real Smart TV devices to ensure compatibility and performance.
- Assist with the submission process to Smart TV app stores if required.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Expertise in Smart TV development (Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Android TV).
- Strong knowledge of Tizen Studio, LG webOS SDK, and Android TV SDK.
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, WebGL, and Pixi.js.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and video streaming technologies (HLS/DASH).
- Experience in handling remote controls for Smart TV navigation.
- Proven track record of Smart TV app development and deployment.
- Ability to debug and optimize performance on Smart TVs.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with React Native or Cordova for TV applications.
- Previous work with DRM technologies (Widevine, PlayReady) for content protection.
- Familiarity with publishing Smart TV apps in respective app stores.
Additional Information:
- The frontend (HTML5, CSS3, WebGL, Pixi.js) is already developed.
- This job is strictly for converting and optimizing the UI for Smart TV platforms.
