We are seeking a motivated and results-driven freelance independent contractor to join our team for the upcoming Hawaii Fest on February 15-16, 2025. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, particularly in sponsorship acquisition, and a passion for promoting events that celebrate Hawaii's culture, music, and community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage potential sponsors, including local businesses, national brands, and corporate partners.
- Create customized sponsorship proposals that align with the objectives and values of Hawaii Fest.
- Develop and maintain relationships with sponsors, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with the event planning team to understand sponsorship opportunities and event offerings.
- Manage the sponsorship sales process from initial outreach to contract negotiations and fulfillment of sponsorship benefits.
- Meet and exceed sales targets, providing regular updates on progress and activities to the management team.
- Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry functions to promote sponsorship opportunities and establish connections.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, specifically in sponsorship or fundraising roles.
- Strong understanding of marketing and promotional strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of the Hawaiian culture and community is a plus.
- Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools is preferred.
Compensation:
This is a freelance position with compensation based on commission from secured sponsorships. Hourly rates are considered as well based on experience. Specific terms and conditions will be discussed during the interview process.
