ll be quick and light on the details, and if this is something you have interest or time in discussing we can dig into this more at your convenience.
I'm toying around with the idea of developing some land. Something I've not directly done before. I've renovated several homes, owned rentals ect but my most relevant experience would be in financing and managing the finance process on similar types of projects though our brokerage over 20 years so I have a general understanding of processes, permits, timelines costs ect.
A month ago, I started to seriously review a 200 parcel of land in New Maryland to co-develop roughly a 20 acre section with a local builder. Ultimately it didn't pan out due to access restrictions - but I learned that I like the process, saw some meat in it and most importantly...I realized I didn't know nearly enough and should have formed a team earlier.
Fast forward and I have my sights set on another 150 acre plot. This time around I would like to assume I am going to purchase the property and actually start investing in forming professional options, plans, costing ect. Worst case if the deal doesn't proceed - it was a great investment in education for the next project. In a nutshell - I'd like to technically build out this development.
