We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Virtual Assistant with expertise in bookkeeping and data entry for property management. The ideal candidate will be skilled in using Buildium/QuickBooks software and possess a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, account reconciliation, and bill payments. Familiarity with U.S. tax codes, such as 1099 and 1065, is a significant advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry for bookkeeping tasks using Buildium property management software.
- Manage account reconciliations, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Process and manage bill payments and maintain accounts payable/receivable.
- Handle basic accounting journal entries and maintain financial reports.
- Provide support for tax-related tasks, including preparing 1099 forms and assisting with 1065 partnership filings (knowledge of U.S. tax codes is a plus).
- Ensure compliance with property management financial regulations and best practices.
- Collaborate with the team to streamline financial processes and reporting.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of proven experience in bookkeeping, preferably in property management.
- Proficiency in Buildium software or similar property management platforms.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, including journal entries and account reconciliation.
- Experience with bill payments and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with U.S. tax codes (e.g., 1099, 1065) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and ability to work remotely.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in property management bookkeeping.
- Certification in accounting or bookkeeping is a bonus.
