So I’m homeschooling my two kids. It's not that I think I can teach them better then the school they were going to could but its that I think I can meet their needs better then they can. My son was having some issues with the staff at his school because they, staff that didn't work with him on a normal basis, simply because didn't want to take the time to figure out how to get my son to do as they wanted. Yes, my son is a challenge. Yes, my son can get violent and aggressive. Yes, my son will make your life a living hell if he truly wants to. MY SON IS NOT A BAD KID! My son is the sweetest little guy. He almost always has some reason for acting out. There has to be something that triggers it. So yes, when my son was being bullied every morning at school and telling the teacher in the cafeteria and nothing was done about it he punched the kid in the face. After talking with staff it came out that he went to this teacher about this every morning for days and she claimed she never saw anything. He told her for days that this kid was messing with him and after days of nothing being done about it he decided he had enough and punched the kid in the face. Guess who got into trouble? Yep, my son got sent home for punching another student. Now don't get me wrong here, I am not saying that my son should have put his hands on another student. He was wrong and he was punished for that. With that being said I honestly don't blame him tho. If someone was messing me with every single morning and I was telling the person in charge, the only person that can really do anything about it, and nothing was done I probably will punch them in the face too. THis is one example of several that shows that the general staff at their school isn’t meeting my son’s needs. Yes, I went to the school and had meetings and tried to get problems solved but he still came home telling me how school was and of the problems he was having. Now he loves school and was sad at first that I was pulling him out. I don't think he really knew how much the staff was letting him down. I think because he is so young that he things this is normal to get into trouble all the time. Well, this mommy did something about it and now Im scared out of my everloving mind that I’m gonna fuck my kids up. Monday starts our first day of school and I have done my best to prepare all that I can for it. I've asked a few people for help and they have all ended up backing out so I can only hope that I have done enough.
