The 2022 season should be another work in progress for the Colorado Buffaloes football team. Despite that, head coach Karl Dorrell has expressed the utmost confidence in his team.
We still don’t know who the starting quarterback will be. Will it be Brendon Lewis or JT Shrout? We will find out soon.
Nonetheless, the season is almost here, and the schedule is not favorable for the Buffs by any means.
Isaac Trotter of 247Sports gave his most important game for each Pac-12 school, and Trotter nabbed the Arizona contest as the most important for the Buffs.
Colorado is rebuilding, but there’s a chance for some real momentum to be built in October. That starts with a trip to Arizona to face off against a Wildcats team that is also rebuilding. Colorado has a tough opening schedule —TCU, Air Force, Minnesota and UCLA will all not be easy — but if Colorado can knock off Arizona, it would get a bye before playing Cal, Oregon State and Arizona State. There’s a real chance to build some legitimate energy.
If the Buffs can defeat Arizona (the Wildcats look to be much better with a new quarterback in town), then things could turn around for Colorado by that point in the season.
Experts have the Buffs winning around four games this season, but you never know until the games are played.
