My name is Tayo Fasuan, a Nigerian, a scientist and a journalist. I had my first degree in Microbiology, a Master degree in Virology, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism. I have been involved in writing, reporting and other media jobs for over 11 years, dating back to my undergraduate days where I was both my faculty and department editor-in-chief for 2 years. I had worked as a freelance writer for various magazines in the past, producing articles in such areas as health, religion, politics, life-styles, art and science/technology. I am currently a reporter, feature writer and part-time editor for the web/blogsite www.microbiotics.com.ng, where I report and write on health and science topics. The site provides practical and useful information in microbiology, public health, immunology, food science, molecular technology and many other related disciplines. I gather materials for reports and articles by attending scientific conferences, workshops, symposia etc., and by invitation to undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and postdoctoral seminars in universities in Nigeria, especially those located the South-West region. I also subscribe to some online scientific journals where I can extract for useful information for feature writing. I am well ingrained into the scientific academic research environment, where I am also personally involved in lots of research works, and I am well-connected to many potential sources of useful information suitable for publication. Additionally, I can also operate video cameras/camcoders and photo cameras which I sometimes employ in providing media support for written articles. My tenacity in getting information, coupled with my flair for researching, writing and reporting, together with my humility to learn more and my experience/connections over the years in the field of science and other disciplines as well, make me well-suitable for writing/reporting job in any print media organizati
