Academic and Statistical Consultant

I have experiences in performing a variety of statistical analyses for scientific publications, teaching, grant writing, and student mentoring. Projects that I have provided statistical analyses for have appeared in top journals - including Blood, Radiology, etc. I was an instructor for Theory of Linear Models (graduate), Preparation for Statistical Research (graduate), and Introduction to Probability Theory (undergrad). I have successfully received an NIH grant and mentored students on their publications. My research focuses on statistical genomics, machine learning, high-dimensional inference, and modelling of big data. I have developed statistical methods that appeared in Nucleic Acids Research, PLoS Computational Biology, Journal of Computational and Graphical Statistics, Biometrics, etc. I have routinely developed R and Fortran softwares, although I can use most programming languages, such as C/C++, Java, etc. I was an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics at the University of Arizona before I moved to Raleigh, NC, due to family reasons. I received my Ph.D. in Statistics from Purdue University and was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the University of Pennsylvania. I can assist in most statistical projects, including statistical analysis for journal publications, grant writing, and projects that may require advanced statistical methods.
