I received my doctorate in pharmacy and am a licensed pharmacist in the State of Florida and Colorado. During my didactic and experiential training, I prepared patient information handouts, drug information and disease state brochures, and medication documents such as drug monographs. Serving as a drug information resource, I developed research skills and provided in-service and continuing education programs for healthcare workers including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and social workers. I have experience in many clinical areas including HIV, oncology, nuclear medicine, internal medicine, psychiatry, and global health. During my clinical experiences, I lived in Kenya, London, and the United States, which strengthened my communication skills. I chose to pursue freelance writing to utilize my love for learning, my education, and my communication skills.
