Throughout my business and scholarly careers I have been able to use my international background as a jumping-off point for conversations and learning from others. In college I spent three years working as the editor for a scholarly journal (The Independent Scribe) where I learned to deal with ambiguity as well as the normal stresses that come with meeting ever-changing deadlines. These tools were especially useful when I created and maintained the 360 Project, which eventually functioned as the go-to site for other schools with Classical Studies programs. Following college and my bachelor’s degrees in English Language and Rhetoric and Composition I enrolled at Emerson College to pursue my Master’s in Fine Arts in Creative Writing. Working towards my master’s degree has given me the opportunity to constantly flex my creative muscle while helping others around me grow within their own selves.
