Am a mature lady and a Certified Public Accountant (Kenya) ie CPA (K) as well as a Fellow Diploma holder in Business Management from Kenya Institute of Management (FKIM). I undertook other courses in my line of duty including Computer packages, Reinsurance Seminars, Management Seminars etc. I have worked for 20 years in the Insurance Industry in Kenya starting from an Accounts Clerk and rising to head the Finance department as the Chief Accountant. I have been in charge of the preparation of the accounts books from posting to the ledger, to Bank reconciliations for various banks and to the preparation of the Final Accounts and Reports both for internal purpose of budgeting and control and for the external audit purposes. I have also been in charge of preparation of monthly and yearly returns and reports for the Insurance to the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA), the preparation of the Payroll and its returns such as PAYE and Year end Tax returns both for the Employer and the Employees, the Debtors and Creditors Accounts as well as assisting in Credit collection. I have been in charge of sourcing and placing the Company's Investments for the best returns. The Finance departments consisted of about Seven staff members whom I have been in charge of supervising, directing and working together as a team to achieve the goal of the organisation into providing the correct Company statues as and when its required. I reported and worked closely with the overall Chief Executive Officer of the organisations. Currently am not in any formal organisation and I have chosen to work from home. I have ventured into personal Businesses of trading, running a Money Agency as well as a Cyber with services such as making Tax returns for the clients, book keeping and Accounting for the different clients, printing, typesetting etc.
