- Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information. - Documents financial transactions by entering account information. - Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options. - Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports. - Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents. - Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures. - Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions. - Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. - Secures financial information by completing data base backups. - Takes charge of receipt, custody and disbursement of funds. - Prepares and releases checks and demands official receipts. - Handles Petty Cash Fund. - Maintains and updates check books for each fund. - Contributing in the preparation of financial statements, accounting and other reports. - Ensures the validity of liquidation reports, reimbursement requests and cash advances. - Receives, collates and checks completeness of all invoices, receipts, bills and statement of account from suppliers, contractors and other claimants. - Ensures that all goods, works and services financed out of the proceeds of any grant shall be used exclusively for the purposes of the project/undertaking related to the grant. - Facilitates bi-monthly payroll, yearly inventory of institutions assets, and monthly random audit.
