CAIRO (Reuters) - The army chief, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, has given preliminary approval to the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) proposal to extend the truce by 72 hours and to send an army representative to Juba, the capital of South Sudan, for talks, a statement from the Sudanese army said on Wednesday.
The proposal includes sending envoys from the army and the Rapid Support Forces to Juba to discuss the details.
