An alpha reader should not normally get caught up with grammatical errors, typos, spelling, and so on.

• Did you have any questions once youd read it?
• Whats working here?
• Whats not working for you? 

As a beta reader, on the other hand, I will offer constructive criticism regarding character / story arcs, dialogue, pacing, and plot inconsistencies.

Suggest ideas on how to improve the authenticity of characters or veracity of the story.

Try to work within your time frame or give you a reasonable estimate as to how long the job will take.

Provide in-depth feedback in a written report.

Expect you to accept constructive feedback with an open mind.

As a Beta Reader i will answer these questions:

• What kind of tone did the piece have?
• How did you feel reading it?
• Did the ending make sense? Did it feel right?
• When did you start caring / when did the piece grab your attention?
• Did you have any questions once youd read it?
