I have more than 25 years of experience in editing, proofreading, and writing. A complete media professional having worked in all types of media including print, web, and electronic. Started journey as desk sub editor in 1989 and continued it till 2015 and the journey goes on. On freelance basis I have worked as language translator - English to Telugu and vise versa - for well known Public Sector organizations like NABARD, Agriculture University, Vizag Steel Plant and commercial advertising agencies like Mudra, Sistas, Priyadarshini, Akshara, and government publicity agencies - Department of Information and Public Relations and Department of Audio Visual Publicity, Delhi. After working for more than seven years in a vernacular daily (Andhra Jyoti), I have joined Holyfaith International (a sister concern of Malhotra Book Depot) as Senior Sub-Editor cum Proofreader. This was one of the places where I honed my editing skills for grammar and consistency. This has earned me a good position in Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) and it was a new journey then onwards. Joining Deloitte in 2005 was surely a landmark in my career. I was selected purely on my hard copy proofreading and editing skills. I underwent nearly seven rounds of interview process and finally got selected for the position of Analyst in Marketing Communications department of Sales, Marketing and Business Development. It was a great experience working in an MNC and exposed my skillset to the multi-national levels. I feel it was great opportunity and honor I have had in my life. I worked at different levels that include Sub-Editor, Executive Editor, Editor, Proofreader, Proposal Writer, etc. Having worked relentlessly for nearly three decades and of course to settle some of the pending disputes at my native place I have decided to take break from work and to work as freelance editor, proofreader, content writer and other related activities.
