I started volunteering as an animal care giver, was given the position of Secretary of the Board, and then quickly asked to also help with office/paperwork need. I wrote their mission statement myself, organized and oversaw all fundraising events, made brochures and information pages for Dark Star, flyers for events, created all the forms (such as for volunteering, adoption, home visit guide, permission slips), and handled all certificates of completion for volunteers and summer camp attendees.
