My Responsibilities 1 - Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders or optical scanners. 2 - Type in data provided directly from customers. 3 - Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes. 4 - Verify data by comparing it to source documents. 5 - Update existing data. 6 - Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested. 7 - Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation. 8 - Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost.
