According to the report, which was published in Reuters on April 28, 2022, Apple expected greater supply problems due to the Russian-Ukrainian war as well as the closures in China, and also mentioned the decline in sales and slowing growth in services.

For his part, Luca Maestri, Apple's chief financial officer, warned, according to the agency, that the Russian-Ukrainian war, which prompted Apple to halt sales in Russia, will further reduce sales in the third quarter of the fiscal year.

He told analysts on the conference call while announcing the company's second-quarter earnings result that supply chain problems would hit sales in the quarter from $4 billion to $8 billion, which is "significantly bigger" than the hit in the second quarter.

Apple CEO Tim Cook said at the time that nearly all Chinese factories that do final assembly of the company's products had restarted after the latest Corona shutdown, but the company doesn't expect when the chip shortage, which mostly affects older
