I have completed my Architecture part 1 at the University for the Creative Arts Canterbury and am now in my first year of completing my Masters of Architecture at Brighton University. I had spent 3 years out in between working at 2 different architectural practices. My first practice, where i spent 1 year, was a small company in Hove, which specialized in housing and schools where i worked on multiple housing projects including extensions under planning and permitted development. New builds in listed and non listed areas, as well as many extensions at a variety of first and middle schools. My second practice, where i spent 2 years, was a larger company in Epsom, where i worked on a variety of projects, a number of them were for universities, as well as working on large laboratory projects, office blocks and restaurants. I have been given a lot of trust in designing at both companies and have seen numerous projects from the first survey through to being built. I have a strong understanding of the planning process but I am slightly limited to construction drawings as I have always been guided by architects through this process. I have a basic understanding of the whole process however including limited experience of working on Specs and the tender process.
