I'm Reagan Laurel. I design and build houses. From the very first stroke of the sketch plan up to the last screw on a cabinet handle or even the color of sealant on a metal gutter, I get to decide the shape, color and materials to be used. It’s the greatest feeling the world to be able to implement rough sketches on paper; 2D plans on CAD Drawings; 360 degree orbit on 3D models; the depth, texture and photo-realism of 3D rendering; into the construction, experiencing it at hand until it rises block by block from a house design to a client’s actual home. Like a craftsman with a chisel, my tools for the job are pencil and paper, a desktop computer, and a keen for details. I use AutoCAD for all my detailed working drawings, plans and specifications, Photoshop and PowerPoint for client presentations, Sketchup as my 3D modeling program, Kerkythea as my rendering engine for exterior and Vray for my interior designs.
