I have completed an MFA in Visual Arts with concentration in Photography from the Miami International University of Art & Design and am currently a freelance curator in San Juan, PR. I was curator and gallery coordinator at Vargas Gallery for 4 years, a university gallery in Pembroke Pines, FL. I such position I gained experience in planning, researching and organizing art exhibitions, I organized a total of eighteen exhibitions since December 2012. Furthermore, at the Museum of Art of Puerto Rico, I had the opportunity to work with the Department of Education in coordinating the museum’s family activities and Sunday story telling time in the children’s gallery, activARTE. I worked with the team to research and provide successful community activities. It was this experience which made me realize my interest in the museum/gallery environment and the importance of art for the community. As an active member of the South Florida and Puerto Rico art scene, I have been exposed to many art events and artists that have helped me grow intellectually and professionally. My experience will allow us to work together to meet the objectives set, from brainstorming to completion, we can develop a project that will benefit us both for years to come. SKILLS ?
