Renewable Energy, what it's all about

Firstly, what do we know about renewable energy and why should we be worried? So, starting at the beginning it would go something like this:

We have all heard of climate change and it's on everybody's lips these days. So, what is the best way we as individuals can help here? The short answer is not generating any carbon emissions. But what are carbon emissions? Well, when we breathe air we consume oxygen and release carbon dioxide. Since we need to inhale and exhale carbon dioxide is produced all the time. This could be called carbon emissions and that would be true. As a definition carbon emission is the release of carbon into the atmosphere. To talk about carbon emissions is simply to talk of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) the main contributors to climate change. Since greenhouse gas emissions are often calculated as carbon dioxide equivalents, they are often referred to as “carbon emissions” and when discussing global warming or the greenhouse effect on our atmosphere it is these carbon emissions that are the problem.  Since the industrial revolution, the burning of fossil fuels has increased, which directly correlates to the increase of carbon dioxide levels in our atmosphere and thus the rapid increase of global warming. - Continued....
