My first company, Wordwise (a sole tradership), was a freelance language service for editing and translation. When I resigned from the South African Parliament (after five years as a Hansard reporter) in 1992 this concern evolved into a full-time business employing several freelance staff and providing the following services to clients: Transcription, editing and publication of the proceedings of conferences and hearings, as well as interviews and public announcements.
